Dulux Metalshield Rust Defence (Australia): drying and recoat times

Dulux Metalshield Rust Defence is a direct-to-metal modified acrylic paint. This page covers the Australian product, sheet LI016.

The data sheet lists drying times at three temperatures, all at 50% humidity. It says the figures are a guide only.

At 25°C the sheet gives touch dry in 30 minutes, handle in 1 hour and minimum recoat in 1 hour. At 15°C the minimum recoat is 2 hours, and at 10°C it is 3 hours. Full cure is 7 days.

Limits of this figure

A product with the same name sold in the United Kingdom is a different formulation with different times.
